As The Pumpelly Estate is an owner-occupied home, we may not always be available to greet you personally upon arrival. Your hostess, Stephanie Whitmore, will include her personal phone number in your check-in email, making it easy to reach her with any questions during your stay.

If you expect to arrive later in the evening, a quick heads-up is always appreciated so we know when to expect you. Otherwise, you can arrive at your convenience after check-in begins.

Checkout Is at 11:00 AM. If you would like a little more time, a 12:00 Noon Late Checkout may be available for a $50 Fee, based on availability.

We require full payment at the time of booking to secure your reservation. As a small boutique bed & breakfast with a limited number of guest rooms, this policy allows us to hold your room exclusively for you and provide the highest level of service to all of our guests. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately after booking with everything you'll need for your stay.

We understand that plans can change. Reservations cancelled at least 72 hours before arrival will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled arrival date may be subject to charges. Please contact us directly if circumstances arise, and we will do our best to assist.

Yes. A complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning in our historic breakfast room from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. 

Guests enjoy a thoughtfully curated morning spread featuring pastries, artisan breads, seasonal fruit, yogurt, cereals, juices, coffee, and tea. Selections may vary throughout the year, allowing us to showcase seasonal favorites and local touches whenever possible.

We are happy to accommodate many dietary needs when notified in advance. Please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions when making your reservation.

Yes. Complimentary on-site parking is available for all overnight guests.

Yes. Complimentary wireless internet is available throughout the property.

Due to the historic nature of the property, accessibility is limited.

Please note:

• There is no ramped access into the main house.
• Guest rooms are located on upper floors and require the use of stairs.
• The property does not have an elevator.
• Wheelchair-accessible guest rooms are not available.

Guests with mobility concerns are encouraged to contact us before booking so we can determine whether the property will meet their needs.

Because The Pumpelly Estate is designed as a quiet, relaxing retreat, accommodations are best suited for adults and older children. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

Yes. We welcome one well-behaved dog per guest room. A $35 pet fee per stay applies.

To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, dogs must remain under their owner's control at all times and may not be left unattended in guest rooms.

Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring your dog so we can note it on your reservation.

No. The Pumpelly Estate is a smoke-free property. Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside all buildings and guest rooms.

Yes. Guests are welcome to reserve all four guest rooms for family, friends, wedding parties, or group getaways, subject to availability.

Please note that reserving all four guest rooms does not constitute exclusive use of the estate. The Pumpelly Estate is an owner-occupied home, and the owners reside on the property.

Guests have access to the shared common areas on the first floor, including the parlors, breakfast room, and porches. If you are interested in hosting a gathering, celebration, shower, reunion, or other special event during your stay, we would be delighted to discuss event options and help you plan an appropriate experience at the estate.

Absolutely. In addition to overnight accommodations, The Pumpelly Estate is home to The Carriage House, our event venue for weddings, celebrations, corporate gatherings, and private events.

Yes. Gift certificates make a wonderful gift for anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, weddings, and special occasions. 

Guests may visit our Gift Certificates page to purchase a gift certificate online. The recipient will receive an email containing their gift certificate and a unique redemption code, which can be entered during the online booking process when making a reservation.

Please note that gift certificates are valid for overnight accommodations only and may not be applied toward weddings, events, catering, venue rentals, or other services.

The Pumpelly Estate is within walking distance of historic downtown Owego's shops, restaurants, galleries, riverfront parks, and seasonal events. Guests also enjoy exploring local wineries, hiking trails, antique shops, and the beautiful Southern Tier countryside.
